The challenge

Our client needed to secure 25 non-permanent workers, however, IR35 assessments and the requirement for status determination records significantly increased costs and time to hire. The project demanded flexibility, making permanent staff unsuitable and expensive.

Setting up the partnership

We quickly identified our client needed to reduce their contingent worker spend across their projects and programme delivery teams, including Senior Project Managers, Business Analysts, and PMOs. The requirements for this project were quickly defined - cost savings were crucial, but not at the expense of high standards or speed.

The solution

Our Consultancy team proposed an adaptable Resource Augmentation model where individuals are employed, assessed, trained and vetted by us, and then deployed to our clients when and where required. Balancing all the benefits of external consultants, contractors and permanent hires, our Resource Augmentation solution was curated to provide flexible and adaptable access to the skills and experience our client required.

We delivered significant cost savings to the client, to the number of £730k per annum. This came with considerable efficiency gains as well - CVs were presented to our client within 72 hours, and were able to be deployed immediately, with all employment vetting handled by Robert Walters.

The client has also transitioned multiple consultants to their permanent workforce at no cost throughout the partnership.
