The challenge

Our client needed skilled professionals to fill critical roles, including data engineers and business analysts. They faced challenges in sourcing and retaining talent due to skills shortages, cost pressures, and the need for workforce flexibility. To overcome this, they looked for a solution that could close skill gaps while supporting their long-term strategy.

Setting up the partnership

In 2022, the client partnered with Robert Walters to address these challenges through a tailored consultancy model.

The solution

We deployed both emerging and experienced talent as consultants, employed by Robert Walters, to deliver essential skills and capabilities across key areas including Project Management, IT Project Management, Compliance Project Management, Change Project Management, Business Analysis, and Data Analysis. 

Consultants received bespoke training and support aligned with the client’s needs, enabling them to quickly adapt and contribute effectively to critical projects.

This flexible model also gave the client a risk-free route to permanent hiring. Consultants could be retained on a contract basis or transitioned into permanent roles, supporting the organisation’s broader workforce strategy while ensuring a strong match of skills to responsibilities.

Key results

Since the start of the partnership in 2022, Robert Walters has delivered £2.1 million in cost savings for the client. To date, 46 consultants have been deployed across key areas.
