Mainframe Db2 z/OS Specialist - Financial Services

What you'll do:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM Db2 for z/OS environments across multiple mainframes
• Apply ongoing maintenance, patches, and tooling updates through continuous delivery
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive performance tuning improvements
• Support distributed IBM Db2 for z/OS connectivity and ensure stable integrations
• Manage database security, access controls, and compliance requirements
• Develop, test, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
• Carry out capacity planning, storage management, and archiving processes
• Maintain the stability and integrity of high-volume IBM CICS OLTP environments
• Engineer and improve automation to streamline operational processes
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and operational teams to support production systems and resolve incidents
• Support database planning, troubleshooting, and day-to-day production support activities

What you'll bring:

• Strong experience with IBM Db2 for z/OS system programming or administration
• Good knowledge of IBM z/OS environments
• Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery
• Understanding of database security, storage management, and capacity planning
• Exposure to automation and scripting within mainframe environments
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale or financial services production systems
• Currently working and based in the UK is essential
