IT Support Team Leader

Robert Walters is working in partnership with a leading international business with operations across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, specializing in the distribution of essential products and services that support a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are keen to appoint an experienced an IT Support Team Leader to be based out of the Birmingham offices on a hybrid basis.

IT Support Team Leader: Duties

• Provide line management & leadership to the support team
• Provide hands on technical support
• Smooth operation of internal IT systems
• Support internal and external stakeholders
• Develop teams’ capability and line management
• Resolve service requests and incidents
• Onsite and remote support
• Manage IT support ticket systems
• Manage technical licenses and work with vendors
• Install/Update applications
• Setup / Manage existing user accounts – permissions, passwords

IT Support Team Leader: Experience

• Line management of a technical team
• Budget management / cost reporting
• Experience of managing through an ITSM system / managing services
• Technical project management experience
• Cyber security tools – EDR, anti-virus, vulnerability management, scripting
• Support of office applications: O365, Teams, Email, Mobile
• Firewall Config. – Palo Alto devices
• Network Protocols – VPNs, Lans DNs, DHCP, Wireless
• Managing accounts: Active Directory, Entra ID
• IT Hardware experience: Desktop, Laptops, iOS, Android
