SCCM Desktop Engineering

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior SCCM Desktop Engineer to join a large enterprise technology team supporting a complex end-user computing environment.This is a hands-on engineering role focused on maintaining and enhancing an established Microsoft SCCM-based desktop deployment platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the existing Microsoft SCCM/MECM environment.
• Manage and enhance Windows laptop build and deployment processes.
• Create, maintain, and troubleshoot SCCM task sequences.
• Diagnose and resolve operating system deployment and build issues.
• Manage application deployment and software packaging.
• Collaborate with desktop and infrastructure engineering teams to improve deployment consistency and reliability.
• Identify opportunities to optimise existing deployment processes.
• Provide support for BAU operational activities.
• Produce technical recommendations to support future endpoint management improvements.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM)
• Windows Operating System Deployment (OSD)
• SCCM Task Sequence development and administration
• Application deployment and software packaging
• Driver management
• Windows desktop troubleshooting
• PowerShell scripting
• Enterprise desktop engineering experience
• Extensive experience supporting SCCM within large enterprise environments
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex desktop deployment issues
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working independently with minimal direction
