Senior Citrix Engineer - Global Banking Group

An established financial services organisation is looking to appoint two experienced Senior Citrix Engineers to strengthen its End User Computing team. Joining an established infrastructure engineering function, you will support and enhance a large-scale enterprise Citrix environment, providing senior-level technical expertise across business-as-usual support, platform optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and optimise a large-scale enterprise Citrix environment.
• Provide third-line technical support, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
• Improve platform stability, performance, and overall user experience.
• Support BAU infrastructure operations while contributing to ongoing platform enhancements.
• Work closely with infrastructure and desktop engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Share technical knowledge and best practice across the wider engineering team.

Essential Skills

• Strong experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops.
• Experience administering and supporting Citrix ADC (NetScaler).
• Strong Windows Server administration skills.
• Advanced Citrix troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Performance tuning and optimisation within enterprise environments.
• Enterprise infrastructure support experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale virtual desktop environments.

Experience Required

• Extensive experience supporting enterprise Citrix environments.
• Proven experience operating at a senior engineering level.
• Experience delivering within large, complex organisations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, business-critical environments.
