IT Risk Analyst

My client, an International Bank, based in London, are looking for an IT Risk Analyst to join their growing firm. This is a 2 year Fixed - Term - Contract and you will be expected to be in the office up to 5 days per week (there could be a possibility to work either Monday or Friday from home but TBC). Just to be transparent, my client does NOT offer sponsorship for this role.

About the IT Risk Analyst role:

My client is seeking a motivated and hands-on IT Risk Analyst with a focus on ensuring the effective administration, governance, and oversight of access across the organisation's IT systems including user and privileged accounts. In addition, the role will support IT governance activities including audit coordination, risk and control management, policy and procedure administration, documentation management, and delivery tracking across the IT function. The position provides an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking a broad IT governance role with exposure to operational controls, risk management, audit, and delivery governance.

Main Responsibilities:

IT Risk & Control Support • Maintain IT risk and control registers. • Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of IT controls and tracking remediation actions. • Support risk assessments and control reviews across IT operations and systems. • Coordinate follow-up activities arising from audit findings, risk reviews, and management actions.

Audit & Regulatory Support • Coordinate responses to internal and external audit requests. • Gather and provide IT documentation, evidence, and supporting materials. • Maintain audit evidence repositories and action trackers. • Track audit findings and ensure agreed remediation activities are completed within target dates. • Support regulatory reviews and information requests where required.

IT Documentation Management • Maintain the IT policy, procedure, and standards framework. • Coordinate document reviews, approvals, and periodic updates. • Ensure operational runbooks and technical procedures remain current and accessible. • Manage document version control and governance processes. • Support the continuous improvement of IT governance documentation. • Resilience, Recovery & Compliance

IT Project Delivery Coordination • Assist with IT project delivery tracking and reporting across the IT department. • Maintain project action logs, risk logs, issue registers, and status reports. • Coordinate updates from project leads and technical teams. • Produce management information relating to project progress and governance activities. • Support governance forums, working groups, and management meetings.

IT Governance Management • Produce regular reporting on user access management activities, audit actions, risk items, and governance metrics. • Support the preparation of materials for management committees and governance forums. • Maintain governance records, action logs, and departmental registers. Experience & Skills Required: •

Required Experience

Knowledge of IT risk and control frameworks.

• Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001, or similar governance frameworks.

IT Risk assessment experience

• Understanding of access control principles, including least privilege and segregation of duties.

• Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or governance activities.

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

• Experience maintaining policies, procedures, or operational documentation.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.

• Proficiency in Jira, SharePoint and Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desirable

• Experience within banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.

• Experience administering access within Oracle Flexcube Universal banking, ERP and FCCM.

• Experience supporting project governance or PMO activities. • Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC, ITIL, Security+, or equivalent.

• Beneficial Certifications • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

• Oracle WebLogic Administration Certification

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) • ITIL Certification
