Senior Data Scientist
Senior Data Scientist (Outside IR35) * Duration: 6 Months * Location: Cheshire (onsite 2 days p/w) * Rate: £550-600 p/d We need a hands-on Contract Senior Data Scientist to design, build, and ML models that drive commercial performance. You will take ownership of the full lifecycle: framing problems, building models, and deploying them reliably into production.
Key Deliverables
- Ship ML Models: End-to-end delivery focusing on pricing, personalisation, forecasting, or user experience.
- Production & MLOps: Deploy models and set up monitoring, alerting, drift detection, and retraining cadences.
- Technical Quality: Set a high bar for code quality, testing, and model documentation while advising cross-functional teams.
Skills Required
- Tech Stack: Advanced Python, SQL, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and XGBoost/LightGBM.
- ML Experience: Proven end-to-end delivery of live production models, including MLOps.
- Domains: Experience in 2+ areas: forecasting, segmentation, recommenders, ranking, or behavioural modelling.
- Soft Skills: Ability to translate complex technical metrics into clear business value for stakeholders.
- Desirable: Travel/marketplace sector experience; Azure ML/Microsoft Fabric; LLMs/GenAI in production.
