Analytics Engineer Birmingham (remote) £40,000 to £50,000 per annum Permanent

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to join a remote team, offering you the chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data reporting and analytics. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as Power BI and Snowflake, while contributing to the development of modern data platforms across multiple divisions.

Analytics Engineer – What will you be doing?

• Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports that provide actionable insights for various business units across the organisation.
• Supporting the implementation and ongoing optimisation of Snowflake as a centralised data platform, setting up agents for each division as required.
• Manipulating large datasets efficiently using advanced techniques to ensure high-quality data preparation and transformation for analysis.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand their analytical needs and translate these requirements into practical solutions.
• Utilising SQL and Data Warehouse experience to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into unified reporting structures.
• Leveraging Python skills where possible to automate workflows or enhance analytical capabilities within the team.

Analytics Engineer – What will you need?

• Proficiency in designing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI is required to meet stakeholder needs effectively.
• Demonstrated ability in manipulating large datasets using advanced techniques ensures accurate analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with SQL and Data Warehouse concepts enables efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data from multiple sources.
• Strong background in creating visually engaging data presentations helps communicate findings clearly across audiences.
• Exposure to Python programming is advantageous for automating processes or enhancing analytical outputs within the team.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills allow you to build trust-based relationships that support collaborative problem-solving.
