Employment Tax Manager - In-house

The Opportunity
Reporting into senior leadership, you will act as a trusted advisor on employment tax, payroll tax and global mobility matters across the organisation.
You will take ownership of global compliance processes while helping to build and enhance the firm's approach to tax governance, risk management and international workforce mobility.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert on payroll tax and global mobility matters across the business.
- Oversee employment tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Design, implement and enhance tax governance frameworks, policies and controls.
- Monitor changes in international tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
- Partner closely with Finance, HR, Payroll and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate employment tax risks.
- Provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice to non-tax stakeholders.
- Support the development and optimisation of payroll tax and mobility processes as the organisation continues to grow internationally.
About You
- 6+ years' experience in employment tax, expatriate tax, global mobility or payroll tax.
- Relevant professional qualification such as CTA, ATT or equivalent.
- Background gained within a professional services firm, with additional in-house experience viewed favourably.
- Strong understanding of employment taxes, social security and payroll tax considerations across multiple jurisdictions, including the US.
- Working knowledge of double tax treaties and their practical application.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues in a clear and accessible manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working with stakeholders across different functions and geographies.
