Senior Risk Manager

Senior Risk Manager (Contract) Location: Manchester City Centre Day Rate: £550 per day (All-In) Contract: 12 Months IR35: Outside IR35 Start Date: ASAP

We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join a high-profile public sector programme delivering major infrastructure projects across Greater Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contractor to take ownership of project and programme risk management, working with senior stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate risks across a complex portfolio.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading risk management across multiple projects and programmes
• Developing and maintaining project risk registers
• Facilitating risk workshops with key stakeholders
• Carrying out qualitative and quantitative risk analysis (QRA/QSRA)
• Producing risk reports and recommendations for senior leadership
• Supporting Project Managers with risk mitigation strategies
• Reviewing project documentation and contracts to identify potential risks
• Driving best practice and continuous improvement across the programme
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members where required

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Extensive experience in project or programme risk management
• Experience working on complex infrastructure, engineering or public sector programmes
• Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk analysis (QRA/QSRA)
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and engaging senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Experience using risk management software (Primavera Risk Analysis, Predict!, P6 or similar would be advantageous)
• Relevant professional qualifications (APM, IRM or equivalent) are desirable
