Robert Walters is working exclusively with a well-established, fast-growing energy trading business to appoint a Senior Structured Credit Analyst.

This is a commercially focused role within a growing Structured Credit function, supporting the assessment, structuring and ongoing management of complex energy transactions across gas, power and renewables.

The role

• Structure and assess transactions including long-term PPAs, energy supply agreements, prepayments, working-capital facilities and other bespoke financing arrangements.

• Build and challenge financial models covering cash flows, liquidity, downside scenarios and capital requirements.

• Evaluate transaction economics using NPV, IRR, ROIC and sensitivity analysis; help shape pricing, credit terms, security and collateral structures.

• Partner closely with Origination, Trading, Finance and Legal throughout the full transaction lifecycle.

• Manage and monitor a portfolio of structured transactions post-close, including limits, concentrations, financial performance and emerging risks.

• Prepare recommendations for senior risk stakeholders and credit governance forums.

About you

You will have strong financial-modelling and transaction-structuring capability, gained in energy/commodity credit, structured commodity finance, project finance, infrastructure finance, leveraged finance or private credit.

Energy experience is beneficial but not essential. Candidates from banking or investment environments will be considered where they can demonstrate excellent cash-flow modelling, downside analysis, credit judgement and complex financing experience.
