AML & Conflicts Manager

A leading International UK law firm is seeking an experienced AML & Conflicts Manager to join its London-based Risk & Compliance function.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a critical area of the firm’s risk framework, leading the Business Acceptance team and ensuring that new clients and matters are assessed, approved and onboarded in line with the firm’s policies and regulatory requirements.

You will have a broad remit spanning client due diligence, AML, conflicts, risk assessment and new matter intake, working closely with partners, fee earners and senior stakeholders across the firm. A key part of the role will be providing practical, commercially aware guidance on complex business acceptance issues while ensuring that appropriate controls are consistently applied.

As an established people manager, you will be responsible for supporting and developing a skilled team, promoting high standards and creating an environment focused on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement. You will also have the opportunity to influence and enhance Business Acceptance processes as the function continues to evolve.

We are looking for someone with substantial experience in AML and conflicts gained within a law firm, together with strong leadership capabilities and the confidence to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. Excellent judgement, communication skills and a pragmatic approach to risk will be essential.
