Buying Manager
Our client is seeking a Buying Manager to join and lead strategic procurement and supplier management across a broad finished goods portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role managing a team of two, where you are responsible for driving commercial value, strengthening supplier partnerships, reducing business risk, and supporting future growth. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that support growth, profitability, and customer requirements.
- Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, tender processes, and contract negotiations.
- Build and manage strong relationships with key suppliers, driving improvements in cost, service, quality, and innovation.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.
- Partner closely with product development, quality, planning, and operational teams to support business objectives.
- Develop procurement KPIs, manage budgets, and provide data-driven reporting to stakeholders.
About You
- Proven procurement leadership experience within FMCG or a similar fast-moving product environment, specifically within finished or outsourced goods.
- Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering measurable cost savings and business value.
- Skilled negotiator with excellent supplier relationship and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience with inventory management, MRP systems, procurement analytics, and supply chain risk management.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
