  • Ensure accurate billing practices are maintained alongside diligent time recording and effective credit control procedures to support departmental efficiency.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards at all times while ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and internal policies.
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues across departments as well as external organisations such as financial advisors or local authorities to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Support the promotion of the department by participating in business development activities, networking events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Contribute positively to the team’s culture by sharing knowledge, offering assistance when needed, and embracing opportunities for collaboration.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice within private client law to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Assist in identifying areas for process improvement within the department to enhance overall service quality.

What you bring:

  • Qualified Solicitor or fully qualified Legal Executive with at least 6 months experience in Wills & Probate matters
  • A keen interest in private client law including estate administration, Will drafting, LPAs, Trusts, tax implications, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all documentation.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff members or secretarial support within a legal setting; willingness to further develop these skills if not already held.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to communicate complex information clearly while showing empathy towards clients facing sensitive situations.
  • Proactive organisational abilities allowing you to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure without compromising quality or deadlines.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding client care by building rapport quickly and maintaining trust throughout each engagement.
