Government & Infrastructure Lawyer

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded law firm with offices in Nottingham, Birmingham or Manchester looking for a Government and Infrastructure Lawyer to join their public sector practice. If you want your legal work to leave a visible mark on real communities from new housing, regenerated town centres and smarter shared services this is a role worth a serious look.

• Advise on high-impact regeneration schemes, from housing developments to town centre transformation
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements covering joint ventures, shared services and alternative delivery vehicles
• Navigate complex public law territory from procurement regimes, subsidy control, and the powers and duties of public authorities
• Work closely with colleagues across disciplines to keep projects moving smoothly from advice to delivery
• Help grow the practice area through business development and client relationship building

• A UK qualified solicitor with 2+ years experience advising on large-scale public sector projects or partnerships
• Sharp drafting and negotiation skills, with the communication ability to bring complex legal issues to life for non-legal stakeholders
• A working grasp of public law principles, particularly procurement and public authority powers
• A flexible, proactive approach and be open to occasional travel or client secondments
