About the Role:

As a Family Solicitor based in Leicester, you will handle a private caseload covering a full spectrum of family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, children matters, cohabitation disputes, and pre/post-nuptial agreements. You’ll have the opportunity to work on complex cases while providing tailored legal advice to clients, ensuring their best interests are always represented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters
• Providing expert advice on divorce, financial remedies, children arrangements, and more
• Representing clients in mediation and court proceedings
• Drafting legal documentation, including pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a high standard of service
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of family law regulations and case law

Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualified Solicitor with circa 3 PQE (NQ plus with financial remedy experence will be considered)
• Strong understanding of family law, including divorce, financial settlements, and child-related issues
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
• A client-focused approach with strong empathy and interpersonal skills
• Experience in managing both contentious and non-contentious family matters
