Employment Counsel

This is a senior employment counsel position supporting the firm's corporate clients across the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The role is particularly well suited to an experienced employment lawyer who is looking for a high quality platform with genuine flexibility built into the working model. The firm is also open to candidates seeking a part time or reduced hours arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising corporate clients on contentious employment matters including tribunal claims, High Court litigation and dispute resolution
• Advising on non-contentious employment matters arising in a transactional and corporate context
• Providing strategic employment law advice to businesses across a range of sectors
• Supporting the wider corporate team on employment aspects of M&A and other transactions
• Drafting and reviewing employment documentation, policies and agreements
• Conducting research and providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice

About You

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with an active practising certificate
• Minimum 7 years PQE with demonstrated experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment law
• Strong academic background with excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
• Practical understanding of employment law in a corporate and transactional context
• Prior experience in a comparable law firm environment preferred
• Self-motivated and able to manage a varied caseload with a high degree of autonomy
