About the Role
We are working with a leading international financial institution seeking a talented Structured Finance Lawyer to join its EMEA legal team. This is a broad, business-facing role supporting a diverse range of complex financing transactions, including structured lending, securitisations, risk transfer transactions, fund finance and other bespoke financing structures across the region.
The successful candidate will work closely with front office, credit, risk and operations teams, providing commercially focused legal advice on strategic transactions and helping to support the continued growth of the business.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support across a broad range of structured finance and financing transactions.
- Advise on structured lending, securitisations, risk transfer transactions, asset-backed finance and fund financing matters.
- Draft, negotiate and review complex financing documentation.
- Partner closely with front office, credit, risk, operations and other internal stakeholders to deliver commercially pragmatic legal advice.
- Support the execution of strategic transactions and new business initiatives across EMEA.
- Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks associated with financing structures and transactions.
- Liaise with external counsel where required and assist with transaction execution from inception through to completion.
Skills & Qualifications Required
- UK-qualified solicitor or similar qualification.
- 4-8 years' PQE as a rough guide.
- Experience gained within a leading law firm, international bank or a combination of both.
- Strong experience advising on structured finance or complex financing transactions.
- Extensive drafting and negotiation experience across structured finance and financing documentation.
- Excellent commercial judgement and an ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering directly with business teams.
- Knowledge of securitisation structures, funding transactions, regulatory capital trades, receivables finance, subscription finance or other asset-backed products would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
