This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving positive workplace outcomes, providing expert employee relations support to managers across the UK, and contributing to a people-focused culture.

What You'll Be Doing

As a valued member of the HR team, you will act as a trusted partner to managers, providing practical and commercially focused advice on a broad range of employee relations matters while ensuring fair and consistent people practices.

You'll also benefit from flexible working arrangements and ongoing development opportunities designed to support your professional growth and long-term career progression within employee relations.

In addition, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that influence policy development, enhance employee wellbeing, and promote continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, practical, and commercially focused advice to managers on a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance cases, performance management, absence management, flexible working requests, redundancies, and other employment-related issues.
  • Support and coach managers through complex people matters, helping them build confidence and capability in handling employee relations situations effectively.
  • Assist in the development, review, and delivery of training resources and workshops to improve management understanding of employment practices and procedures.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring effective collaboration throughout investigations, consultations, formal meetings, and other employee relations processes.
  • Manage employee relations cases from start to finish, balancing business requirements with fairness, consistency, and employee wellbeing.
  • Draft high-quality correspondence, including investigation outcomes, disciplinary and grievance letters, and advisory communications, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Review and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure alignment with current UK employment law and organisational requirements.

About You

  • Proven experience in an Employee Relations Advisor role, providing guidance and support to managers at all levels within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong case management experience, with the ability to handle a wide variety of employee relations matters confidently and effectively.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation across the UK, with experience supporting cases in the Republic of Ireland considered highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and support managers through sensitive and complex situations.
  • A professional, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach to employee relations.
