Finance & Office Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Assistant & Receptionist to join a highly regarded Family Office in the heart of London on a 9–14 month maternity cover contract. This varied role offers exposure across reception, administration, operations and finance support within a collaborative and professional environment. Perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced role, thrives on variety, and is looking to further develop their skills within office support and finance operations.
What you’ll do:
- Manage front-of-house duties including meeting and greeting guests, answering calls and handling post/courier deliveries
- Prepare meeting rooms, organise catering and support visitors attending the office
- Order office supplies, stationery and kitchen refreshments while maintaining office organisation
- Support daily banking, reconciliations, payments and financial administration processes
- Monitor operational inboxes and maintain accurate financial records and data entry
- Assist the Trust & Private Client team with regular reconciliations and reporting tasks
- Electronically file payment and receipt documentation across internal systems
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience within administration, reception, office support or accounts assistance
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and confidence handling data entry and reconciliations
- Professional and welcoming communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- A proactive attitude with an interest in developing finance and operations experience
- Experience with financial or filing systems would be beneficial but not essential
