What you'll do:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Flow Credit, Flow Rates, Portfolio Optimisation, Equity, FX & EM, Treasury, DCM & Cash middle offices in London while maintaining oversight of Mumbai-based trade support teams.
• Support governance and control for all cross-border activities managed by regional teams within EMEA entities, ensuring adherence to functional policies and jurisdictional regulations.
• Drive operational efficiency through process improvement initiatives, managing complex operational issues and escalating effectively when required.
• Maintain and strengthen collaborative relationships across Front Office, Operations, Finance Risk and Legal functions to foster strong inter-departmental connections.
• Lead the development of existing team members by nurturing talent and helping individuals reach their full potential through ongoing coaching and mentoring.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by designing and implementing robust control frameworks that mitigate operational risk challenges.
• Contribute actively to the wider management team’s strategic agenda-setting and participate in cross-regional projects aimed at enhancing organisational capability.
• Promote a culture of inclusion, psychological safety and respect by championing diversity initiatives within the workplace.
• Monitor industry trends and technological innovations to ensure the middle office remains responsive to market developments.

• Comprehensive product knowledge covering fixed income instruments such as government bonds, FX products including exchange traded and OTC derivatives.
• Operational expertise encompassing financial markets infrastructure with deep understanding of the trade lifecycle from execution through settlement.
• Strong risk management capabilities supported by a robust control mindset able to design frameworks that mitigate operational risks effectively.
• Current awareness of global regulatory landscape coupled with practical experience ensuring compliance across jurisdictions.

• Commercial acumen with understanding of business economics, risk factors and P&L drivers relevant to financial services operations.
