Client Onboarding (12 month contract)
A leading financial institution in London is seeking a Client Onboarding Specialist to join their Financing Solutions team on a 12-month contract, with a primary focus on Equity Swaps onboarding. You will be at the heart of the onboarding lifecycle, managing documentation, tracking progress, and coordinating stakeholders across departments such as Front Office, Operations, Credit, Risk, Compliance, AML/KYC, and Legal.
What you'll do:
- Provide comprehensive support for onboarding activities across the Financing Solutions team, focusing primarily on Equity Swaps while remaining adaptable to other business needs.
- Collect, review, and organise all necessary onboarding information and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness throughout the process.
- Prepare and distribute onboarding packages, questionnaires, information requests, and status updates to clients and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed trackers and workflow tools to monitor progress against key milestones and ensure all deliverables are met efficiently.
- Follow up diligently with clients and internal stakeholders regarding outstanding onboarding requirements to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Coordinate onboarding activities across various teams including Front Office, Operations, Credit, Risk, Compliance, AML/KYC, and Legal to foster co-operation and shared responsibility.
- Keep accurate records and documentation throughout every stage of the onboarding process for auditability and transparency.
- Produce regular onboarding status reports and management updates that provide clear visibility into progress and potential areas for improvement.
- Support account setup procedures as well as readiness activities to ensure clients are fully prepared for engagement.
- Assist with post-onboarding requests and related administrative tasks to maintain ongoing client satisfaction.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience of 3–5 years in client onboarding or account onboarding within operations or middle office roles in financial services.
- Exceptional organisational skills that enable you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising quality or accuracy.
- Proven project coordination abilities that allow you to track deliverables effectively across complex workstreams involving numerous stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that foster positive relationships with clients as well as internal teams.
- Strong attention to detail combined with problem-solving abilities that ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint for managing data, preparing reports, and communicating updates efficiently.
- Experience supporting derivatives or securities finance products is highly desirable for candidates seeking additional growth opportunities.
- Familiarity with client onboarding processes within financial services enhances your ability to contribute from day one.
- Understanding of OTC derivatives concepts as well as collateral management principles is considered advantageous but not mandatory.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across cross-functional teams including Operations, Risk, Compliance, Credit, AML/KYC, and Legal.
