Regulatory Reporting Analyst Salary: Up to £75,000 Location: London
A leading financial institution in London is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join their Regulatory Capital Reporting Team. You will play a pivotal role in the calculation and analysis of own funds and risk-weighted assets, as well as the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory returns. - Take responsibility for key regulatory reporting tasks, including capital adequacy analysis and quarterly COREP returns, while building strong relationships across Finance and Investor Relations.
What you'll do:
As a Regulatory Reporting Analyst based in London, you will be integral to the Regulatory Reporting Team’s success. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve calculating own funds and risk-weighted assets each month, preparing detailed management information for senior committees, and submitting quarterly regulatory returns such as COREP reports. You will stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements, actively participate in projects related to regulatory change, including IRB implementation, and provide valuable input into requirement definition documents. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Investor Relations, and Bank Financial Control will be essential for ensuring smooth communication regarding reporting requirements.
- Calculate and analyse own funds and risk-weighted assets on a monthly basis, producing relevant management information for presentation to senior stakeholders such as the Group FD and Capital Adequacy Committee.
- Prepare, review, and submit quarterly regulatory returns including COREP reports covering capital adequacy, leverage, and large exposures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of reporting requirements by monitoring regulatory changes and developments within the industry.
- Support the regulatory change process by participating in projects and providing input into requirement definition documents, including IRB implementation when required.
- Build dependable relationships with key stakeholders across Finance and Investor Relations to ensure queries are addressed promptly and accurately.
- Liaise closely with the Bank Financial Control team to ensure they understand reporting requirements and receive sufficient notice of new or changing regulations.
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying areas for enhancement within reporting procedures.
- Assist in maintaining robust internal controls by recognising control weaknesses and proposing changes where necessary.
What you bring:
- Accountancy qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA are highly desirable for this position.
- Experience in a regulatory team with a capital reporting focus, working on COREP, RWAs, and CRR.
- Your ability to collaborate productively with people at all levels within an organisation will be crucial to success.
