TRAINEE MORTGAGE ADVISOR
Salary: £35-39k
Location: City of London
Hybrid: 3 days in office

What you'll do:
- Support and learn from an experienced team of advisers, helping to deliver tailored mortgage and protection advice to clients from initial consultation through to completion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders and internal teams to ensure a seamless, high-quality service.
- Assist with the end-to-end mortgage process, including fact-finding, lender research, application support and ongoing case management.
- Keep up to date with mortgage market developments, lender criteria and FCA regulations to ensure advice remains accurate and compliant.
- Support the assessment and management of more complex cases, applying strong problem-solving skills while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Develop your knowledge of protection products, including life insurance, critical illness cover and income protection.
- Benefit from a structured training programme designed to support your progression into wealth management and broader financial planning within 12–24 months.
What you bring:
- Previous experience within the mortgage industry is highly preferable, whether in mortgage administration, case management, processing, advisory support or another mortgage-related role.
- CeMAP qualified is preferred (but not essential), or currently studying towards CeMAP, the CII or an equivalent mortgage qualification.
- At least 6 months experience in a client-facing and/or target-driven role with a proven track record of achieving objectives.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a genuine client-first approach.
- Good understanding of mortgage and protection products, alongside the FCA regulatory environment.
- Strong IT skills, including experience using CRM systems and other technology-driven platforms.
- A genuine ambition to build a long-term career in mortgage advice, with the opportunity to progress into wealth management.
- Willingness to study towards the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (R0 exams), fully supported by the business as part of your career development.
