As a Record To Report Associate based in Warrington, you will be entrusted with responsibilities that span the full spectrum of financial reporting activities. Your day-to-day will involve maintaining accurate ledgers for multiple business units—including joint ventures—ensuring compliance with accounting principles while processing information efficiently within set timelines. You will prepare journals and supporting documentation for various stakeholders while keeping the fixed asset register current.
Key duties include:
- Execute and support all Record To Report activities across the group of companies and related parties to provide an integrated view of financial performance.
- Conduct accounting tasks relating to the maintenance of complete and accurate general ledger and management accounts for all business units including joint ventures.
- Process information within the Record To Report area according to group timetables and shared service centre service level agreements.
- Deliver timely and accurate information to senior accountants and team leads while performing routine general ledger tasks under direction.
- Prepare and maintain journals along with supporting documents, schedules, reports, and analyses as required by internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a comprehensive fixed asset register ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records across all relevant entities.
- Reconcile balance sheet items including profit and loss accounts, bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and related party balances following established reconciliation processes.
- Raise inter-company charges or invoices as needed while preparing regular and ad-hoc allocation of costs to business units or group companies.
- Support senior accountants in responding to requests for reports or analysis from internal groups, external auditors, customers’ completion audits, affiliated companies or regulatory agencies.
