This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director in a highly visible role where you'll provide commercial insight that helps shape business decisions, improve profitability and support continued growth.

This is far more than a traditional management accounting position. You'll partner with stakeholders across the business, combining financial analysis with commercial decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Offering a high level of autonomy, the role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing decisions and adding value beyond the month-end process.

What you'll enjoy

  • Working directly with an experienced Finance Director in a highly autonomous role.
  • A genuine opportunity to influence commercial and strategic decisions across the business.
  • Hybrid working, competitive salary and bonus.
  • Joining a collaborative, supportive finance team within a successful and growing organisation.
  • Excellent long-term career development in a business where finance is a key driver of commercial performance.

What you'll do

As the Commercial Finance Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial performance of the business through insightful analysis, reporting and business partnering. You'll work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments to provide meaningful financial information that supports better decision-making, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and helping to improve business performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis and commentary on financial performance.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and commercial support.
  • Analysing profitability across different business areas and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Producing financial models and analysis to support key commercial and strategic decisions.
  • Monitoring financial and operational KPIs, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Supporting the month-end process, including accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.
  • Producing cost analysis and monitoring changes that impact business profitability.
  • Supporting balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the accuracy of financial information.
  • Using ERP systems and Excel to analyse data and produce reports for senior management.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting and controls.
  • Providing ad hoc analysis and recommendations to support business growth and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

You'll be a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and turning financial information into meaningful business insight. You'll be confident building relationships across the organisation and comfortable working in a role where no two days are the same.

You'll ideally have:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA status (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Commercial Finance role
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse large volumes of financial data.
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence stakeholders across the business.
  • A proactive approach with a genuine interest in understanding the commercial drivers behind financial performance.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise competing deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Why apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business where you'll have genuine ownership, autonomy and exposure to senior leadership. You'll work in a collaborative environment where your ideas will be valued, your commercial input will make a tangible difference, and you'll have the opportunity to develop your career while helping shape the future success of the business.
