Management Accountant Based in Milton Keynes £50,000 - £60,000

Our client is seeking a highly capable Management Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal within the finance team, focusing primarily on providing proactive and financial support for the commercial activities of the business. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of contract reporting, business and financial controls. The role also involves taking responsibility for discrete financial projects and contributing to the delivery of change in the business. This opportunity demands a versatile individual who is comfortable both in core financial disciplines and in partnering effectively with commercial teams. This role is based in Milton Keynes and they offer hybrid working.


What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant, you will play an integral role in supporting commercial teams with reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will be responsible for analysing and challenging reported contract results from a financial perspective, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Your role will involve assessing contract structures in line with IFRS considerations, monitoring costs, identifying potential savings or efficiencies, and implementing processes to realise these savings. You will also be tasked with identifying and assessing the accounting and tax impacts of unusual contracts. Furthermore, you will support external audit exercises and assist commercial teams in developing improvements in cash flow management.


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Managament Accountant role is a qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience. You should be a graduate with at least a 2.1 degree and strong A level results. Excellent communication skills are essential as you'll need to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the business. You should be highly numerate with strong analytical ability. The ability to work under pressure with a logical approach to planning and prioritising is key. This is an ideal role for a ACA qualified accountant looking for either their first or second move into industry.
