Head of Global Payments Internal Audit - EMEA

A leading global organisation is seeking an Internal Audit Lead for its international payments business in the EMEA region, based in London. This role sits within a highly regarded audit team, covering financial regulatory, operational, and compliance audits across international markets. Previous exposure to auditing Luxembourg listed entities or structures is essential for this role.

Requirements for the role:

• Support the development of the annual audit plan, identifying key risks and regulatory requirements for the payments business.
• Execute regulatory audits including AML, CTF, PSD2, safeguarding, and related operational audits.
• Use data driven approaches across risk assessment, planning, execution, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop risk and control matrices and internal audit test plans.
• Draft clear, well structured audit reports and conduct follow up reviews on remediation progress.

Responsibilities for the role:

• Previous exposure to auditing Luxembourg listed entities or structures is essential
• Proven experience auditing within payments or financial services, with sound knowledge of AML/CTF, PSD2, and safeguarding requirements.
• Strong data analytics skills and experience developing risk and control matrices.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders across regions.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
