What You'll Do:

As Head of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control you will play an integral role in leading end-to-end transactional finance operations within a fast-growing real estate environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing a large team dedicated to AP/AR/Billing functions while developing performance metrics that drive accountability. You will oversee supplier onboarding activities ensuring compliance with internal policies; direct credit control measures designed to optimise cash flow; supervise accurate billing aligned with contractual obligations; collaborate with cross-functional teams for data accuracy; implement process improvements through automation; champion transformation projects leveraging technology; maintain strong financial controls; resolve supplier queries promptly; foster a culture of continuous learning among your team; support revenue recognition efforts; manage stakeholder relationships effectively; contribute to strategic decision-making regarding departmental resources. Success in this role requires balancing operational excellence with people leadership—ensuring both high-quality outcomes for the business and professional development opportunities for your team.

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate for Head of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control will bring deep expertise in transactional finance operations gained from roles overseeing AP/AR/O2C/P2P cycles within complex organisations. Your proven experience managing large teams will be complemented by a commitment to nurturing talent through structured development pathways. You will have successfully delivered process optimisation projects—particularly those involving automation or ERP upgrades—and maintained high standards of compliance within shared service settings. Your technical acumen spans advanced analytics tools like Excel as well as RP platforms such as SAP. You possess strong interpersonal skills allowing you to build trust-based relationships with stakeholders across departments. Your knowledge extends into credit control practices where you have implemented risk management strategies that minimise aged debt while supporting cash flow objectives. A relevant degree plus professional accounting qualifications further demonstrate your suitability for this senior leadership position.

* Extensive experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Order-to-Cash (O2C) or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycles within high-volume environments.

* Proven track record managing large AP/AR teams with responsibility for leadership development pathways.

* Strong background in process optimisation including automation projects such as ERP upgrades or workflow tool implementations.

* Demonstrated ability to maintain rigorous controls around compliance standards in shared service environments (desirable).

* Experience leading transformation initiatives involving digitalisation technologies like OCR invoicing or AI agents.

* Expertise in cash flow forecasting techniques alongside working capital management strategies.

* Advanced proficiency using RP platforms such as SAP plus analytics tools including Excel for reporting purposes.

* Solid understanding of credit control practices including risk management protocols for minimising aged debt.

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; accounting qualifications such as ACCA/CIMA/ACA highly desirable.

* Exceptional communication skills enabling effective stakeholder management across cross-functional teams.
