Assistant Management Accountant

Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant Salary: £30,000 + study support Location: Birmingham

Robert Walters are currently supporting a European leading business based in Birmingham in their recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. The role offers the chance to join a leading finance team and will offer study support, hybrid working and great progression opportunities.

Key Duties of the Assistant Management Accountant:

• Support the month-end close process, including the preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments
• Ensure compliance and accuracy of invoice processing, confirming costs are correctly allocated within the Profit and Loss account
• Support the Purchase Order process and maintain integrity and accuracy within the sub-ledger
• Prepare and maintain clear, complete and accurate balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end process
• Analyse monthly expenditure and provide clear, concise financial insight to stakeholders
• Support Business Partners with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc requests
• Participate in internal and external audits and additional compliance activities

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Previous exposure to the month end process
• Strong data analysis and financial reporting skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to think critically, identify issues and contribute to continuous improvement
