As a Finance Assistant based in Manchester, you will play an integral role in supporting the finance operations of a forward-thinking e-commerce group committed to sustainability. Your day-to-day activities will involve processing purchase invoices accurately, conducting bank reconciliations, reconciling stock received against purchase orders, assisting with management accounts preparation, and undertaking various administrative tasks. Success in this role requires you to collaborate closely with colleagues across departments, communicate effectively with suppliers when discrepancies arise, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
Specific duties:
- Process purchase invoices efficiently in accordance with the company’s approval process, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every stage.
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations on a regular basis, maintaining dependable financial records for the business.
- Reconcile stock received against purchase orders, collaborating with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies in a considerate and polite manner.
- Assist in preparing management accounts and KPI reporting by sharing accurate data and insights with relevant stakeholders.
- Undertake various finance administrative tasks as required, offering general support to ensure smooth operation of the finance function.
- Work closely with colleagues across departments, fostering collaborative relationships that enhance overall business performance.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners through written and verbal channels, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism.
