Save job

* Enjoy a supportive and collaborative workplace that values teamwork and encourages sharing of knowledge across departments, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone’s contribution matters. * Benefit from structured career development pathways, generous pension contributions, paid annual leave, employee discounts, and on-site parking (where applicable), ensuring your wellbeing and professional growth are prioritised.

As a Credit Control Clerk based in London, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable function within a dynamic finance team. Your day-to-day activities will involve processing invoices, allocating payments, monitoring outstanding balances, conducting credit control via phone and email, resolving queries, producing debtor reports for management, reconciling sales ledgers, processing credit notes, setting up customer accounts, assisting with month-end procedures, supporting cash flow reporting, maintaining accurate financial records in line with company policies, ensuring compliance with financial controls, and providing assistance on ad hoc tasks. Success in this role requires attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, strong interpersonal abilities for communicating with customers and colleagues alike, as well as a commitment to supporting the wider team. You will have the chance to work collaboratively across departments while developing your expertise in credit control within a nurturing environment that values dependability and accuracy.

The ideal candidate for the Credit Control Clerk position brings proven experience in accounts receivable or credit control roles within sectors such as food service, hospitality, retail or distribution. Your familiarity with accounting software systems like Sage or Xero will help you navigate daily tasks efficiently. You possess exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong numerical skills that ensure every transaction is recorded accurately. Your ability to communicate clearly—both verbally and in writing—enables you to resolve queries considerately while maintaining positive relationships with customers. Organisational prowess allows you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; your adaptability means you remain calm under pressure. As someone who values teamwork and collaboration, you contribute positively to communal goals while also being dependable when working independently. Professionalism is evident in your approach to confidential information; your willingness to support colleagues further enhances the inclusive culture of the organisation. If you hold or are working towards an AAT qualification (or equivalent), have experience with high-volume invoicing or ERP systems—and bring a proactive attitude—you’ll thrive in this role.

This organisation stands out for its commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where every team member feels supported. Employees benefit from competitive compensation packages including generous pension contributions that secure their future. Paid annual leave ensures work-life balance is respected; employee discounts add value beyond salary alone. On-site parking (where applicable) makes commuting easier for staff members. Career development is actively encouraged through structured progression opportunities—whether you’re looking for training or mentorship from knowledgeable colleagues. The company’s collaborative ethos means you’ll always have access to guidance from experienced professionals who nurture talent at every stage of your journey. With a focus on accuracy, dependability and communal achievement rather than individual competition or hierarchy, this employer offers an environment where your skills can flourish alongside those of your peers. The supportive leadership style ensures everyone’s voice is heard; flexible working arrangements may be available depending on business needs—making it easier for employees from under-represented backgrounds or those seeking greater flexibility to succeed here.
