Background

Global manufacturer, JELD-WEN, contacted Robert Walters during the initial stages of a Greenfield SAP implementation Programme across Europe. Looking to kickstart this programme in the UK, they would go on to roll out the implementation across their European operations. To deliver this project, JELD-WEN required more than 10 roles including SAP Programme Director to lead the programme, SAP Change Lead, SAP Fico, Plan to Manufacture Lead, P2P Transformation Lead, SAP ERP Lead and European SAP Data Manager Lead

Approach

Robert Walters proposed a retained solution to recruit 5 critical permanent roles, including the SAP Programme Director.

Given the project encompassed placements across the EU, a multi-channel approach was adopted in order to source top-tier candidates from the market. Due to the challenging nature of this assignment, Robert Walters developed a bespoke client branded advertising solution, including targeted LinkedIn advertising (following extensive market mapping), as well as the use of national, specialist and European-wide job boards. In conjunction with this, Robert Walters utilised their extensive database and developed an exclusive candidate referral campaign to source both active and passive professionals to provide a shortlist that was unrivalled in quality.

Delivering the project on an exclusive basis, Robert Walters could provide support to JELD-WEN in defining job specifications, along with identifying the critical skills required for the programme. This allowed Robert Walters to match candidates to the project needs, ensuring their programme objectives would be delivered on time.

Robert Walters filled the 5 critical roles within the projected timescale, going on to place 10+ roles across Europe.
