Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Manchester-based team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams, setting clear objectives, mentoring talent, and supporting succession planning. Represent engineering in governance and program review forums.
- Own end-to-end delivery of mission-critical software, including requirements gathering, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing reliability.
- Drive engineering excellence by promoting best practices across coding, testing, microservices/APIs, performance optimization, and infrastructure. Champion secure-by-design principles, including monitoring, incident management, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to translate business outcomes into technical roadmaps and guide architecture modernization and system integrations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams building distributed systems and microservices within agile environments (e.g., Scrum or Kanban).
- Hands-on experience with AI development and integrating AI capabilities into products.
- Strong proficiency in Java (preferably Spring) and scalable system architecture design.
- Experience with modern engineering practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and DevOps culture.
- Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker), cloud infrastructure, and observability tools.
- Proven ability to hire, mentor, and develop engineering talent while fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment.
