HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY Salary: Competitive and based on experience Location: Liverpool An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Technology to join a dynamic team at a leading organisation's head office in Liverpool, UK. This role is ideal for a technology leader with a strong background in software and application development, while also overseeing IT infrastructure and data management to support business operations and drive innovation.

What you'll do:
As the Head of Technology, you will lead a technology function of approximately 35 people, including Development, Infrastructure Engineers, and Power BI Specialists. You will be responsible for shaping the organisation’s technology strategy, ensuring the smooth integration of systems, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary technology team, ensuring collaboration between development, infrastructure, and data teams.
Lead the development and implementation of software solutions to improve business processes.
Oversee IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable, scalable, and efficient operations.
Shape and implement the company’s data strategy, optimising storage, processing, and reporting.
Drive best practices in software engineering, including Agile methodologies and DevOps strategies.
Manage on-premise and cloud-based systems, ensuring seamless system performance.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies and tools to support business growth.
Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and analytics are optimised for business needs.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver technology-driven solutions aligned with business goals.

Proven expertise in software development, system architecture, and enterprise applications.
Strong technical experience in modern programming languages, cloud platforms, and DevOps methodologies.

Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, and cloud services.
Experience leading and managing technology teams, including developers, infrastructure engineers, and BI/data professionals.
