AWS Infrastructure Manager

The AWS Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the operational management, reliability, and performance of the Group’s core infrastructure platforms. This includes cloud environments, system operations, technical operations, network services, and voice/telephony platforms. The role ensures that these infrastructure services are secure, resilient, and scalable while supporting business critical applications and services.

Lead the operational management of the Group’s cloud environments (primarily AWS), networks and voice platforms.

• Ensure the high availability, performance and resilience of cloud hosted platforms and services, networks and voice.

• Lead and develop teams responsible for TechOps, SysOps, networking and voice services.

• Drive operational excellence through automation, monitoring and proactive service management.

• Oversee the administration and maintenance of the Groups AWS environment including responsibility for continuous cost, security and performance optimisation.

• Ensure systems are patched, secured, and maintained according to operational standards.

• Manage capacity planning, performance monitoring, and infrastructure lifecycle management. • Own the operation and reliability of enterprise network services including: o LAN/WAN environments o Data centre networks o Cloud networking. Remote connectivity and VPN services

• Ensure effective management of the Group’s Five9 voice and telephony platform and associated services such as SIP. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.

• Ensure infrastructure platforms follow organisational security policies and compliance requirements.

• Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

• Work closely with the End User and Platform Services Manager to maintain resilient infrastructure.

• Ensure cloud environments, network and voice services follow security best practices and organisational policies.

• Partner with the Cyber Security team on cloud security, network security and compliance initiatives.

• Proactively look for ways in which the group’s IT infrastructure can be improved in order to ensure optimal performance and stability.

• Proactively research and recommend courses of action to prevent problems and to maintain high infrastructure service levels for our internal customers.

• Lead major incident response processes and coordinate recovery activities.

• Ensure effective management of operational processes including incident, problem and change management.
