IT Support Manager – Futures Trading & Clearing Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven IT Support Manager to oversee and support futures trading and clearing systems within a fast-paced financial markets environment. This role involves managing end-to-end IT projects, ensuring system stability, supporting operational teams, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to maintain seamless trading infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end IT projects across futures trading and clearing systems, market connectivity, and post-trade workflows.
• Prepare and manage detailed project plans and task timelines, identifying risks, escalating issues, and coordinating mitigation strategies.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, releases, and testing activities.
• Provide technical support and issue resolution for trading and operations teams.
• Perform hands-on system maintenance and troubleshooting while coordinating with external vendors where required.
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance, responding promptly to incidents and anomalies.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, operational procedures, and user guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technology and business teams to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Carry out additional ad-hoc tasks as required to support the wider IT function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical operations or systems support, ideally within financial services or trading environments.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage priorities in a high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency in SQL and Linux operations is essential.
• Knowledge of futures trading and settlement systems, exchange connectivity, and trading platforms such as ION, FIS, or TT is highly advantageous.
• Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell is desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with financial regulatory frameworks such as FCA and EMIR and their operational impact.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
