An exciting opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join a growing Platform Engineering function focused on driving large-scale infrastructure automation and modernisation initiatives across a global enterprise environment.This role will play a key part in accelerating Infrastructure-as-Code adoption, improving operational efficiency, and delivering scalable automation solutions across compute, cloud, storage, and networking platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation workflows and reusable IaC modules using Ansible, Terraform, and Python
• Drive standardisation and consistency of automation practices across infrastructure and platform teams
• Integrate automation capabilities into VMware, Azure, and Git-based workflows
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to identify manual processes and implement scalable automation solutions
• Support delivery of infrastructure automation roadmaps and strategic transformation initiatives
• Ensure automation solutions align with security, governance, and compliance requirements
• Develop reusable templates, guardrails, and CI/CD integrations to improve operational efficiency
• Build strong working relationships across global technology teams and third-party vendors
• Participate in technical escalation support for critical infrastructure issues when required
• Contribute to infrastructure architecture discussions and strategic platform improvements
• Maintain and develop technical expertise across automation, cloud, and infrastructure tooling

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and/or PowerShell
• Experience working with Git-based version control and CI/CD workflows
• Good understanding of VMware and Azure infrastructure services
• Strong knowledge of core infrastructure technologies including compute, storage, and networking
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and modern infrastructure engineering practices
• Experience working within mature, process-driven and change-controlled environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple technical teams and stakeholders
