Data Science Engineer - Temp - (SQL, Databricks, Python)

This opportunity sits within a high-performing data and strategy team focused on building sophisticated market opportunity models and predictive analytics solutions to support commercial growth across global education markets.

The role would suit a commercially minded Data Science Engineer who enjoys combining advanced analytics, scalable engineering and stakeholder engagement within a fast-paced international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced market opportunity and propensity models to identify untapped commercial growth opportunities
• Build scalable end-to-end data pipelines integrating multiple internal and third-party datasets
• Partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales Strategy and Data Engineering teams
• Deliver customer intelligence and behavioural modelling solutions to support go-to-market decision-making
• Develop and productionise predictive analytics solutions within modern cloud data environments
• Translate complex analytical findings into commercially actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Support strategic planning through data-driven market sizing and customer growth insights

About You

The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate strong technical capability alongside excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder communication skills.

Experience sought includes:

• Strong SQL expertise working across large and complex datasets
• Strong Python capability for analytics, modelling and data manipulation
• Experience developing predictive or propensity models in commercial environments
• Exposure to modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks
• Experience building scalable analytical pipelines and production-ready data solutions
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate complex insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
