Contract GCP Data Platform Engineer * Competitive Market Rate (Inside IR35) * 6 Months * London N1 (Hybrid – 3 days in office) * ASAP / Immediate An industry-leading organization is seeking a contract Data Platform Engineer (RBAC) for a high-impact 6-month project. You will design, implement, and secure a multi-cloud data infrastructure (GCP & AWS) with BigQuery at its core.

GCP Data Platform Engineer Key Deliverables

• Access Enhancement: Lead the RBAC enhancement project, support an organization-wide IDAM upgrade, and secure service account access.
• Data Classification: Architect data classification pathways across BigQuery, Fivetran, Alation, Tableau, and dbt.
• Data Operations: Remediate vulnerabilities, manage data pipelines, and maintain the GCP-based Lakehouse architecture.

Technical Requirements

• Cloud Security: Deep expertise in RBAC design and implementation within GCP and AWS.
• Data Tech Stack: Strong proficiency with Python, Airflow (Cloud Composer), and dbt.
• Core Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Certifications (Highly Desired): GCP Data Engineer or AWS Data Engineer certification.
