Lead Data Analytics Consultant (Payroll & HR)

Lead Data Analytics Consultant (Payroll & HR) Location: Remote (UK based applicants) Duration: 8–12 Weeks Rate: £450 – £500 per day (Outside IR35) The primary objective is to consolidate fragmented historical Excel spreadsheets and outputs from my clients newly centralised global payroll platform into a single, secure source of truth for the CFO, Finance, and HR teams.

Lead Data Analytics Consultant (Payroll & HR) will lead the deployment of the following project phases:

• Discovery: Audit legacy multi-currency spreadsheet models, data flows, and manual validation workflows to identify automation gaps and data risks.
• Data Modelling: Architect a standardised data model linking employee-level costs, payroll components, and budget vs. actual forecasts.
• System Integration: Define and map the integration approach between historical Excel data sets and the new centralised payroll system.
• Reporting Framework: Build secure, flexible dashboards capable of deep-dive variance analysis, payroll reconciliation, and multi-region Total Cost of Employment (TCE) reporting.
• Automation & Handover: Implement automated data refresh processes, design standardised upload templates, and deliver comprehensive system documentation

Suitable Lead Data Analytics Consultant (Payroll & HR) applicants will have experience of the following:

• Payroll System Integration: Direct experience extracting, mapping, and consolidating data from modern global HR/payroll systems (e.g., Deel, Workday, or equivalent platforms).
• Data Visualisation & Analytics: Power BI for dashboard delivery and secure workspace sharing.
• Data Engineering & Modelling: Advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX) for extracting and transforming complex legacy spreadsheet logic.
• Integration Methods: REST APIs, webhooks, or structured CSV data extraction pipelines to bridge payroll platforms with historical datasets.
