Technical Lead – Regulatory Reporting (SQL, Python)

We’re working with a global investment bank to hire a Technical Lead into their London-based technology team, focused on regulatory reporting and data platform transformation across EMEA.

This is a hands-on role within the Middle/Back Office Technology team, supporting changes to existing reporting processes, improving current systems, and helping deliver enhancements aligned to business and regulatory requirements.

The Role

You will work closely with Business, Operations, Compliance and global technology teams to support, maintain and enhance regulatory reporting applications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting changes and enhancements to MiFID transaction reporting
• Analysing existing reporting processes and identifying practical improvements
• Working with stakeholders to understand regulatory and business change requirements
• Making system and reporting changes in line with agreed standards
• Supporting testing, validation and implementation of reporting updates
• Acting as a local escalation point for regulatory reporting issues
• Working with global technology teams to ensure local changes align with wider standards
• Supporting documentation, controls and ongoing reporting stability

What We’re Looking For

• Experience across capital markets regulatory reporting, ideally MiFID
• Good technical experience with SQL, Python, Linux and scripting
• Understanding of reporting platforms and data models
• Experience supporting post-trade, middle office or back office technology
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced financial services environment
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
