Marketing Operations Manager

A leading global financial services business is looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to take ownership of the processes, governance and operational infrastructure supporting a growing Marketing & Growth function. This is a senior, hands-on marketing operations position working across two brands, partnering closely with Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Controls, Regulatory and Legal. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure to a fast-moving environment, improving processes and making sure a marketing function operates efficiently and effectively.

Contract: Full time - 12-Month Contract
Salary: £650–£700 per day
Working type: Fully onsite - central London location

You’ll play a key role in shaping and improving the Marketing Operations function, with a particular focus on process, governance, budgets and operational delivery.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading and improving marketing operations across planning, processes, governance and vendor management.
• Developing and implementing new processes, identifying opportunities to simplify and improve existing ways of working.
• Using automation and AI to make marketing processes more efficient.
• Managing relationships with external vendors and agencies, working alongside Procurement on onboarding, renewals, performance and resource planning.
• Managing marketing budgets across two brands, monitoring spend and working closely with Finance to ensure budgets are well controlled.
• Supporting governance activity across areas including competitions and prize draws, working with relevant Product Support teams.
• Partnering with Controls, Regulatory and Legal teams on internal and external governance requirements.
• Owning operational projects within Marketing Operations, including capability implementation and automation initiatives.
• Working with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure marketing activity is delivered effectively and at pace.

Candidate Criteria:

We’re looking for someone with a strong Marketing Operations background who understands how to build effective processes and governance around a complex marketing function.

You’ll ideally have:

• 5–6+ years of relevant experience
• Strong experience across marketing operations, process and governance.
• Experience managing budgets and working closely with Finance.
• Strong vendor/agency management experience.
• Experience improving processes through automation, technology or AI.
• The ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile environment without needing significant structure around you.
• Financial Services or experience within a regulated environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
• A degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline is preferred.

This isn't a traditional Project Manager position. The strongest candidates will have genuine ownership of marketing operations, with process, governance and operational excellence at the heart of their experience.
