An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise end-to-end supply chain operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will focus on driving efficiency, improving operational performance, and ensuring high standards of quality and compliance across procurement, inventory management, and production support activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, overseeing inventory strategy, and supporting seasonal demand planning, with particular attention to food-related components and quality-controlled products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support operational efficiency, business growth, and fluctuating seasonal demand.
- Monitor and improve supply chain performance through data analysis, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage inventory levels across raw materials, packaging, and production components to ensure uninterrupted operations while minimising excess stock.
- Coordinate with suppliers to maintain consistent quality, timely deliveries, and compliance with agreed specifications.
- Drive operational improvements using Lean methodologies and best practices to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve workflow efficiencies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline procurement, warehousing, and production support processes.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring service, quality, and compliance standards are consistently met.
- Conduct regular supplier reviews and performance evaluations.
- Work closely with Quality teams to maintain robust quality assurance and traceability procedures.
- Support batch control and compliance processes in line with relevant industry and food safety standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, supplier performance, and supply chain optimisation.
- Proven experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and relevant compliance standards.
- Demonstrated success leading teams and implementing operational improvements.
