Save job

An established luxury household brand is seeking a commercially driven Procurement Director to lead its indirect procurement function across the EMEA region.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to shape regional strategy, develop a high-performing team and influence business decisions across a complex, international organisation. Combining strategic leadership with commercial expertise, the successful candidate will drive value, strengthen supplier partnerships and ensure procurement plays a central role in supporting wider business objectives.

The Role

You will lead the EMEA procurement function, translating business priorities into effective sourcing strategies and delivering measurable commercial value. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the region, providing strategic advice, market insight and commercial recommendations to support informed decision-making.

As part of the wider procurement leadership team, you will also contribute to the continued development of the global function, driving consistency, collaboration and continuous improvement across regional and international teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the EMEA indirect procurement team, establishing clear objectives, strengthening capabilities and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Define and deliver the regional procurement strategy, aligning category plans and sourcing initiatives with wider business priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and ensuring procurement is engaged early in key business initiatives.
  • Drive commercial value through cost savings, cost avoidance, supplier optimisation, demand management and improved contract performance.
  • Provide market intelligence and commercial insight to identify opportunities, manage expenditure and support strategic planning.
  • Oversee strategic sourcing, complex negotiations and critical supplier relationships, ensuring competitive outcomes and effective risk management.
  • Collaborate with global procurement leaders to leverage opportunities across spend, suppliers, expertise and best practice.
  • Lead the adoption of procurement policies, governance frameworks, systems and processes across the EMEA region.
  • Support organisational change and the implementation of new procurement technologies, operating models and ways of working.
  • Embed responsible sourcing, sustainability and ethical considerations into procurement strategies and supplier management.

About You

  • Significant experience in strategic procurement and sourcing, with a strong track record across indirect spend categories.
  • Experience within luxury, retail, consumer goods or another international consumer-facing business would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching and developing procurement teams within a complex, multinational environment.
  • Demonstrable success developing procurement strategies that deliver measurable commercial and operational improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence senior leadership and build relationships across multiple functions and regions.
  • Broad indirect procurement expertise, with particular depth in one or more areas such as professional services, technology, corporate services, property and design, or supply chain and distribution.
  • Excellent commercial judgement, negotiation skills and understanding of supplier markets, cost drivers and sourcing strategies.
  • Experience balancing regional ownership with global procurement objectives and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong leadership and change management capabilities, with the ability to drive transformation and continuous improvement.
  • A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline is desirable, alongside relevant professional qualifications where applicable.

Why this role?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a regional procurement function within a globally recognised brand. You will have the scope to shape strategy, influence senior stakeholders and deliver meaningful commercial impact while contributing to the ongoing evolution of an international procurement organisation.
