Role: Lead Buyer Salary: £45k - £60k depending on experience Location: Bolton

A leading manufacturer is seeking a highly experienced procurement professional to join their IT procurement team. This opportunity involves managing a high-profile business transformation project, collaborating with international colleagues, stakeholders, and suppliers to deliver impactful results. What You'll Do:

As a Procurement Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in managing a transformative business project that spans national and international boundaries. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

· Managing end-to-end procurement activities for a major business transformation project.

· Leading strategic RFI and RFP processes.

· Acting as the senior procurement lead by liaising with internal stakeholders, gathering requirements, developing statements of work (SOWs), and overseeing contract management.

· Developing and implementing SRM strategies without existing SRMS tools to ensure timely and quality delivery.

· Driving supplier performance.

· Owning and run large-scale procurement projects.

· Supporting the development of contracts that align with organisational goals.

What You Bring:

The ideal candidate for the Procurement Buyer position brings proven expertise in the following areas:

· Experience managing complex and strategic procurement projects or programmes across diverse sectors is essential for this role.

· Comfortable working within an international context where building relationships across borders is key to success.

· Proven ability to own large-scale procurement projects from start to finish.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Demonstrated competence in developing statements of work (SOWs), contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.

· Ability to develop supplier relationship management strategies.

· Please note you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance to be considered for this role.
