A Global Investment Bank is seeking a Senior Procurement Leader to take ownership of a high-value professional services and banking services portfolio This is a Director level position within a global procurement and supplier management function responsible for managing over $6bn external spend and driving strategic value across the organisation.
This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide sourcing strategy, build senior stakeholder relationships, and lead a team focused on delivering commercial excellence, innovation and risk optimisation.
The Role
As a Senior Portfolio Lead, you will oversee a complex category area within banking services procurement. You will partner with front-office and infrastructure functions to develop long-term sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier partnerships, and deliver tangible business outcomes.
You will also lead and develop a team of experienced procurement professionals while driving continuous improvement across processes, governance, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business divisions to align procurement strategy with organisational priorities
- Develop and execute category strategies that deliver cost efficiencies, innovation, and service improvements
- Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships, ensuring value optimisation and robust commercial outcomes
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of senior procurement professionals
- Drive governance, risk management, and contract optimisation across complex supplier arrangements
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the supply base
Your Experience
- Proven procurement leadership experience within financial services (e.g. corporate, investment, or private banking environments)
- Strong track record managing complex global supplier relationships and high-value contracts
- Experience sourcing technology, operations, or banking-related services
- Ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders effectively
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability, and understanding of contractual frameworks
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Professional procurement qualifications (e.g. MCIPS) or equivalent are advantageous
