Buyer

This is a Category Buyer position within a large-scale FMCG manufacturing business, offering genuine ownership and visibility. You’ll be responsible for raw material categories, taking full accountability for sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and cost management. It’s a role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, giving you the autonomy to make decisions and the opportunity to see them through end to end.

The Role

You’ll take responsibility for:

• Developing and delivering category sourcing strategies
• Managing budgets, forecasts, and cost drivers
• Building effective, long-term relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
• Identifying and mitigating supply and commercial risks
• Leading cost analysis, specification reviews, and value improvement initiatives
• Driving decisions and taking ownership across the full procurement lifecycle

About You

You’re likely to have:

• 3+ years’ experience in procurement or buying, ideally within FMCG manufacturing
• Almost or competition of CIPS Level 4
• Strong experience in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management
• The confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels
