AML & Conflicts Analyst - 12 month FTC
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Anti-Money Laundering and Conflicts Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Manchester or Birmingham. Responsibilities:
- Review and assess client due diligence documentation thoroughly to ensure all regulatory requirements are met and maintained at the highest standard.
- Conduct detailed client and matter research using advanced screening tools to identify potential risks and maintain compliance.
- Manage and analyse conflicts searches efficiently, ensuring accurate identification of any issues that may impact the firm’s operations or reputation.
- Support fee earners by responding promptly to anti-money laundering queries and source of funds requests, fostering a collaborative approach to compliance.
- Assist in resolving conflicts swiftly while maintaining rigorous compliance standards across all matters handled by the firm.
- Support the implementation of information barriers within the organisation, helping protect sensitive data and uphold ethical standards.
- Work closely with colleagues across departments to share knowledge and promote best practices in AML and conflict management.
- Maintain meticulous records of all compliance activities, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout each process.
- Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions aimed at enhancing compliance procedures and fostering communal learning.
- Contribute positively to a busy team environment by offering dependable support and demonstrating flexibility in response to changing priorities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years’ proven legal compliance experience within a law firm environment is required for this position.
- Strong knowledge of anti-money laundering processes as well as conflicts management procedures is essential for success in this role.
- Experience using Intapp Open or similar compliance software platforms will enable you to perform research tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills are vital for liaising effectively with fee earners and other stakeholders across the business.
- Outstanding organisational abilities are necessary for managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
